It has creatred an adversarial climate between bicyclists and motorists, and each of the parties is responsible for a carbon footprint of ten tons. Mutual respect between motorists and cars is gone, and the monthly parties (they are not worthy of the term "demonstrations") just adds to the negativism. Ideally, one more bike means one less car. And, responsible adult riding provides an arena for youths (under the driving age) to access the city safely. Please don't dignify social destruction and eco-vandalism.
